Who We Are
The Group Chat (TGC) is operated by Demetrius Tuck, who is responsible for the personal information collected through our public waitlist.

What This Notice Covers
This notice applies to The Group Chat's public waitlist.
Joining the waitlist does not create a product account, guarantee access to TGC, or enroll you in an invitation-only testing program.
Separate terms and privacy information may apply when you begin using the product.
Information We Collect
When you join the waitlist, we collect your email address and information about your signup, including when and where you submitted it, the consent language presented, and your subscription status.
We also process limited technical information needed to operate and protect the signup form. Our security provider may process browser and network information to help prevent automated or abusive submissions.
If a signup is interrupted, some information may be temporarily retained while we resolve or clean up the incomplete request.
How We Use Your Information
We use your information to manage the waitlist and send updates about The Group Chat, including information about when you may be able to use it.
Joining the waitlist is a single opt-in subscription. We do not require you to verify ownership of your email address before subscribing.
We do not sell your personal information.
Service Providers
We use Resend to manage contact records, subscription preferences, and email communications.
We use Cloudflare to host our website, securely process waitlist requests, maintain signup records, and protect the site against abuse.
These providers process information to help us operate the waitlist. Their services may involve processing or storage in different countries.
Your Choices
You can unsubscribe from TGC marketing updates at any time using the unsubscribe link included in those emails.
Unsubscribing stops marketing communications but does not necessarily delete the associated contact record.
You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information by emailing [email protected].
We will review and respond to privacy requests in accordance with applicable law.
How Long We Keep Your Information
We retain public waitlist information for up to 12 months from your signup or most recent affirmative confirmation of continued interest.
Around month 11, we intend to invite you to confirm whether you'd like to remain subscribed. Only an explicit confirmation renews the retention period. Receiving or opening emails, ordinary link clicks, and duplicate signup requests do not renew it.
Incomplete signup records are normally removed within seven days.
When a retention period ends, we initiate removal of the relevant waitlist information. Processing schedules, technical failures, or records requiring manual review may delay completion. We track unresolved removals and follow up rather than treating them as an extension of the retention period.
We may retain limited information when necessary to honor unsubscribe preferences, comply with legal obligations, or resolve legitimate privacy and security requirements.
Historical database backups may temporarily retain copies of information removed from active systems. Those copies remain subject to the provider's recovery and retention controls, and restored data must be reviewed before being used again.
Future Product Access and Communications
Waitlist membership is separate from TGC product access.
If you later create a TGC account, separate product privacy terms may apply.
We expect to review marketing consent before general availability. Joining this waitlist does not automatically constitute consent to materially different future marketing purposes.
Changes to This Notice
We may update this notice as The Group Chat develops. If we make material changes, we will provide appropriate notice and request additional consent where required.
